Is it possible to improve your logical thinking skills?

Hey! Today I wrote a school Olympiad in social science, and there, in addition to social science itself, somehow there was a problem in computer science ( here it is ). No matter how I thought, no matter what schemes I drew, I could not solve it, although later, as it turned out, it turned out to be INCREDIBLY simple. After leaving this Olympiad, I really felt stupid. Actually, I had gaps in logic before. In algebra classes, I was stupid on the banal opening of brackets (I don’t know how this relates to logic), as far as I remember, in my 8 years of study, I did not solve more than one complicated task from textbooks in mathematical sciences (algebra, physics). Come on, algebra with physics, I have never been able to solve a Rubik's cube in my whole life!
Of course, I am far from alone in the class, but still, I am very concerned about this issue. I feel an incredible desire to develop technically, but I do not know where to start. Could you advise something? Or am I completely dumb?
