The essence of the question is this: there is a site1.example.com subdomain on which a certificate from startssl is valid and there is a site2.example.com subdomain for which I would like to receive a certificate from whosign. Will this work in our universe? It would be logically correct to generate another key on startsl, but the admin login key is lost :( Certificate revocation costs 20 bucks.

I'll tell you more. You can buy several different certificates for the same domain/subdomain :)
In fact, very often. First, a person takes DW (domain validation), then grows to OV or EV with the old one alive.

certificates are bought only for a specific domain, that is, mysite.ru, www.mysite.ru, ftw.mysite.ru - these are all different sites, provided that you have it on a wildcard. but there is a suspicion that if it was a wildcard, then you would know for sure
