Is it possible to get dame firmware from dir 300 using RS232?

Good afternoon,
I'm new to disassembling and getting firmware dumps, so I came here for advice.
It is the method with the physical connection and removal of the dump that is of interest, and not with the analysis of the received firmware from external sources.
Purpose: to obtain for subsequent analysis (binwalk, objdump, etc.) a firmware dump from the dir-300 router.
In stock: the simplest rs232 programmer (I used it a couple of times and for a very long time to resuscitate hdd controllers)
1. In any case, will it be required to solder the chip?
2. Will it be possible to 'pounce' on it from above without removing it from the board? Or, if available, use another interface to get the dump.
3. Is this programmer suitable for this task?
