Is it possible to fully use javascript, JQuery, ajax in JavaServer Faces (Java EE), or is it worth looking at other technologies?

I'm going to create a large website with a lot of site traffic. Until today, I studied JavaServer Faces. But then I decided to use Javascript and jquery (it didn’t work out like xhtml), is it possible to somehow use javascript in JSF, or is it worth looking at other technologies where it is possible to use javascript, jquery, ajax. And it turns out that I studied html, css, javascript, mySql, jquery, ajax at an intermediate level and in vain?

I also know php, I thought I could use it for web development, but I read on several forums that java is for large sites, and php is for small ones. Then I decided to study Java, having studied java SE, I began to study Java EE, but I’m already so confused that it’s completely over, who can easily tell or at least give a link to the article, Java server language is okay, but what is it? Like this? Are these bins? I don't understand.
