There are many mobile apps that use photos. For example, a very popular one is "4 Photos 1 Word". I want to try coding for mobile platforms and for the test project I chose an application similar to the one described above. Naturally, I want to place it in the stores. If the photo does not have any watermarks, there is no signature of the photographer, can I freely use it?

No. The presence or absence of watermarks in no way determines the conditions for the distribution of the image.

There are free image banks that can be used depending on their licenses. I am absolutely sure that there are those that can be used for commercial purposes.
