Is it possible to forward a key from UEFI to a virtual machine?
There is a laptop with a Windows license.
Then I switched to Kubuntu, set up virtualization, transferred Windows to a virtual machine, but it requires a key.
I downloaded via GRUB and VHD https://habr.com/ru/post/228641/
There is a key, but I want everything to work from a virtual machine.
Poke me if there is a solution.

clarify the question:
- if you take turns downloading to real hardware then Linux then Windows, you should not have problems
if you want to move Windows into Wirth completely, it all depends on which key:
- the OEM UEFI key cannot be transferred, but there are emulators (piracy. and there are easier ways)
- if the key is "boxed", perform a clean installation with this key or transfer the image with the same acronis. if necessary, ask for confirmation of activation by phone
- if it is win10 and logged in under an MS account, the activation should have been bound to the account. then you can either install with a checkmark "I don't have a key", or transfer the image with an activation request by phone
forced activation request by phone - in the command line, with admin rightsslui 4
if none of the above helps, you go to the store for a new key .. or
slmgr /ipk <mak>
slui 4
