Is it possible to find an investor for an indie game?
If yes, where to look for it?
I don't know, that's why I want to know.

Make a demo where the coolest features of your game will be implemented, file GIFs/videos/pictures demonstrating these features and send them to everyone you can.
"Where can I find an investor for my parties / drinking at clubs?"
It's the same here, you want someone to pay for your entertainment in the form of game development.
So you need to look for where people hang out who bring pleasure, pay and watch how they have fun with their money.
Developers:
"Where can I find an investor for my project?"
"Where can I find worthy projects to invest in?"
You need to think not about where to find an investor (if you move in the right direction, which includes, among other things, working on marketing, he will find you himself), but how to make a good product.
PS "If you can live without an investor, it's better to live without an investor." Do not think that these are angels who give money.
Good demo, good presentation and good business plan.
I saw a table where there were 50+ offers and all refusals. I also refused. Not my area. The investor may also have requirements for the genre and so on.
In general, there are different investors and each has its own goal.
If they didn’t give FFF, then the uncle from the outside definitely won’t.
For just a conversation, you need to have a name that such people are familiar with
As an option:
• Make a DEMO. Without it, absolutely. This is what you will show to friends, Internet users, investors.
• Form communities around yourself and your game. Make a website, a VK community, a community on YouTube, Instagram, a blog on Yandex Zen, and publish art there, information about new updates.
• Attend events / meetups. And most importantly, participate in them, just for the sake of participating, since such events generate content, they publish photos and participants on various resources on the network. This will give you links to you when someone just googles about you.
• Packing you and your game(the most difficult stage) You need to package your reality in such a way that in the eyes of other people your game looks like a successful hype that "supposedly" causes a stir. This is necessary for targeting, the problem will be to collect contact information for whom to target.
• Target. It is necessary to track the parties of investors, and set up a target for those who visited this place (where the party took place). The target should not be on the game... but on materials that indirectly say that your game is a gun, and you are a genius, in the style of "a demo game gained thousands of fans in 2 days" (Only in teasers they advertise games in no way :D)
Or an easier optionis it a kickstarter or similar crowdfunding platforms. These sites are useless if you do not advertise your crowdfunding company, unless the target audience changes here.
Good luck, Artyom Kotok!
