Is it possible to do something similar to RDP but on Linux?

It is necessary to make something like RDP, but on Linux, the application will be opened in the session, after which the user will be disconnected, but the user himself and his application must continue to work, in Windows this is done simply by clicking "disconnect" or closing the RDP window, the user continues to hang with his processes .
Is it possible to do this but in Linux (to save on licenses or not to engage in piracy)?

Hello,
If there is only one user, then the easiest way is VNC:
- either your own + DDNS, if you need to go from the outside according to the dynamics,
- or RealVNC - free up to 5 devices, no need to bother with DDNS.
If there are several users, then a bunch of "VNC + XDMCP" - there are a lot of links to how to do this in Yandex.
All these xRDPs under Linux are either buggy, or paid, or hemorrhoids, as Xilian said .

For linux there is - all of a sudden - freerdp, which has to be a server. There is VNC, which also knows how to be a server, though from Windows you will need to install a separate, rather ugly client.
