Is it possible to display toast notification on windows 8 using python?

The whole question is that, as I understand it, this is easy to do in c #, but how to get by with the means of another language, specifically python, is not clear.

There is a library for MPNS (Microsoft Push Notification Service). Easy to use, but a little raw.
