Is it possible to display the number of unread emails using php?

There are several mail addresses on different mail servers. How to get the number of unread emails in each of them using a php script?
The result might look something like this:
test @example .com - 5 unread emails
me @example .com - 0 unread emails
[email protected] - 2 unread emails
