My examples of work are in subfolders.
Naturally, they are multi-page and their links are written relative to the root ( href="/path").
Then, when you click on such a link, not the layout page of the project opens, but the server tries to find and give the page relative to the root directory, which causes an error.
Maybe you can use .htaccess to make the directory considered the root?
