Is it possible to deploy any php framework to gitlab pages?

Gitlab pages allows you to host statics, and is it possible to deploy a full-fledged project on the framework there (zend framework is interesting). How should .gitlab-ci.yml be configured in this case? Where will the backend be located? Do I need to configure gitlab nginx?
