Is it possible to connect the cooler to a flash drive?

I have a Toshiba 4gb flash drive without a case, I want to connect a cooler from GeForce2

to it. What is the best way to do this? What can be contraindications? Or can you safely put it on food directly? It's a shame to part with this flash drive for the second time

From the USB connector, you can remove the maximum that is 5V. And the video card fan motor is most likely 12V. If you connect such a 12V fan to 5V, then it will either spin slowly, or just stand and be powered by current. But if you are a happy owner of a rare 5V fan, then look at the current (it says on it): it should not exceed 200-250mA, because. the maximum given by the USB port is 500mA, and the flash drive with the fan together must not exceed this threshold (otherwise there will be fireworks). For experiments, I suggest taking a cheap 5V power supply so that nothing expensive (south bridge) is burned. Here is the most primitive scheme, according to which you must connect everything.

It's not entirely clear what you want to end up with. If you think that the flash drive is overheating and needs to be cooled, and you are not afraid that the dimensions of the cooler are many times larger than the dimensions of the flash drive, then you are welcome!
1) Make sure that the surface of the chip is the most protruding element on the board (for example, it seems to me that capacitors C5 and C2 protrude more)
2) Install the heatsink, not forgetting the thermally conductive paste / glue. How you will fix it - I'll never know :) Make sure that the radiator does not close anything.
3) Screw the fan on top. It can be powered directly from USB, nothing should burn.
If this is a modding project, and you just need to install a fan so that it spins beautifully, only point 3.

I think a small heatsink (from memory on video cards, for example) will be enough. This is provided that the flash drive is very hot.

When a fan is connected, the output current of the USB port may drop, as a result of which the USB flash drive itself may not be enough, and it will fall off. This behavior is likely when connected to a laptop
