Is it possible to connect a laptop to a SmartTV via Wi-Fi and use the TV set as a monitor?

Hello!
Everyone knows that you can connect a laptop and a smart TV via HDMI and use the TV set as a monitor.
But is it possible to do this over wi-fi?

Can.
The devices are called HDMI wireless extenders.
The price is comparable to a netbook or a professional router.

If you have a modern laptop on Intel and Smart TV that supports Intel WiDi technology, you can fix it without additional equipment.
I did this with my Samsung SmartTV and last year's Asus Zenbook and Sony laptops.

Intel WiDi is a great feature, but there is no other way to use it to view photos / videos. There is quite a delay. Because HDMI is the best option.
