Is it possible to calculate the author of the site?

The question is purely for informational purposes. There are just a lot of scam sites that fool people now. It surprises me that the author of such a service / site is not afraid that someone will visit him and squeal on the processor))) It can also come to the whistleblowers of the first))) I will give an example, let's say I want to create a site on which I will expose various charlatans and people who, let's say, fool people and spread pseudoscientific nonsense.

Can someone find me? >

Is there any protection against the fact that the author of the site is not found?

Finding the legal owner of the site is very easy. But there are three nuances:
1) perhaps this is a figurehead
2) he can live very, very far away
3) he can be covered by the state / provider

I am surprised that the author of such a service / site is not afraid that someone will visit him and knock on the processor)))

In fact, it is legally possible to file a class action lawsuit for deceit and fraud. But, as you understand, if no one wants to sue a megaphone, then even more so with no-name firms.

And then you want to monetize this site, and the whole hide-and-seek game ends abruptly of its own accord.
Unless, of course, it turns out earlier that the site is stupidly blocked for a potential audience, as it interferes with the respected business of the respected owner of the scam.

There are already more than one of these, but if you count social networks, then there are many.

Rather, the site will simply be blocked under the pretext of “distributing personal data”, “not registered in the registry”, “did not make a cookie policy”, “according to complaints from copyright holders” ...
But physically, I think, catching someone is simply not interesting. If individuals and simple businesses are suffering, not people . The damage is small, the victim is also a small person.
On fl.ru a hundred years ago, blogs described stories when people themselves tracked scammers - and most often they turned out to be citizens of other countries.
Actually, I remember just one case now, when the law enforcement officers really reacted and the riot police came to catch one type: he collected money "for the treatment of children", completely copying the pages of real sick children and all kinds of funds.

Create a group on social networks with a fake name, access it through a proxy/vps

remembered the center of American English. When a spammer is really...
We wrote above about the police, but they are practically powerless in case of unethical behavior in the gray zone or with obvious violations that are almost impossible to prove under certain circumstances, for example, a number of banking spammers through calls.
An abstract assumption: if the state faced the problem of precisely solving such problems on the Internet, then instead of mandatory for all blocking, a rating system (or categories) would be introduced, sort of like with 3 types of DNS in the Yandex service.
