I am visually impaired, almost completely blind.
At the same time, I am interested in the development of web sites.
For obvious reasons, I cannot work on Frontend, nor can I be a Fullstack developer.
Is it possible to be a pure backend programmer?
I saw few such vacancies, but at the same time, how much such a programmer should know JS?
Any thoughts on this.

There are plenty of such vacancies, maybe not in your region. In any case, it will be difficult for you because not only quality is required, but also effectiveness. It will be almost impossible for you to break through a crowd of money-hungry fully capable guys
