Is it possible to add the NFC module to the ACS database?
There is a phone with an NFC module and the task from the authorities is to adapt it to the access control system on Proximity cards.
The general meaning is that it is necessary to open doors with a telephone (people of the older generation would probably break their brains, with such a phrase 20 years ago))

Good afternoon, I
have 2 questions:
1) Question 1. Are you sure that your current cards are Proximity format (HID Prox or EM-Marine)? If yes, then it is impossible to make the option you voiced, because. NFC and Prox are different technologies - first of all, they differ in radio frequency (125 kHz versus 13.56 MHz).
There are two ways out here:
1.1) cheap - stick a 1.2 format Proximity card to the back cover
1.2) expensive - replace the ACS readers with another modern model - there are those that support simultaneous operation at different frequencies (125 kHz + 13.56 MHz)
2) Question 2. What phone do you have? I met models that issue a permanent identifier (Sony has it) - but there is a catch - the identifier is the same for the entire line of devices, i.e. if two employees have the same phones, then it will not be possible to distinguish between access between them, because. their phones will give the same ID.
I also met phones that each time give out a different ID - i.e. such an ID cannot be registered in the ACS, because it is constantly changing randomly.
There are two ways out again:
2.1) cheap - you need to test the phone on any available desktop reader or ACS reader that supports operation at a frequency of 13.56 MHz - after the tests, if the ID does not change and differs from the ID of another phone, you can register such a phone in the ACS system.
2.2) expensive - without going into deep details - it is possible to implement the "correct" operation of ACS in conjunction with NFC phones - for this it is necessary that a special application be installed in the phone that works with the ACS reader (yes, the reader is also special - tied to work with this application) and guarantees a safe (secure) data exchange (copying an ID is quite simple these days). - There are such solutions, but they are more expensive than usual ones - I think they will be used more in the corporate sector, where they pay special attention to security (for example, banks)
