Is it possible to access iframe content using Cordova?

Hello, I read the following on the official cordova website :
If the content is served in an iframe from a whitelisted domain, that domain will have access to the native Cordova bridge.

i.e. if I add a specific domain to the cordova whitelist, do I get access to its content?

The bottom line is that my application with all handlers (backbutton and others) is loaded into an iframe and I'm wondering if it's possible to somehow make the backbutton event work from an iframe, for example
