Is it possible somehow to create files in the file system on QtWebEngine?

Here is the index.html file, and it is displayed when compiled using QtWebEngine.

Can somehow index.html send requests (to js) to the program itself? So that I can create files on the hard drive or something. So that I write the implementation of the handler in main.cpp, and so on.
But is it possible to make such a handler and does it exist?
