Is it possible in Opecart in the OcFilter module to filter without regard to categories?

In the controller "product/category" removed the required parameter "path_id". I get the entire list of products, regardless of categories. OcFilter is not displayed because it binds directly to the category ( path_id ).
The task is to get a filter, as in a category, with attributes, categories and other parameters
