Is it possible for VirtualBox to forward a hotkey from the host?

There is Linux Mint 17.3 on it VisrtualBox with Windows 7 (used purely for rdp). I would like to expand it to full screen on an additional virtual desktop, but so that one hotkey (Alt + 1 combination, return to the first desktop) is processed through Mint and ignored in win7. Any ideas how this can be arranged?
PS I tried to set up rdp on Linux for a long time, but without results.
