Is it possible for a novice programmer to find a job in the IT field?

The essence of the question is this:
I really want to work in the IT field, but serious companies need supermen with two higher, three doctoral degrees, a couple of dozen state certificates, a star in the forehead and no older than 20 years old for a salary of 18 thousand rubles (without exaggerating), and such offices as XEdNYA, soap and other wickedness with classmates together, despite all the statements that an intern is needed, they will fill up with incorrect questions with bug tests within a month. For example, I don’t have a Harvard and for the most part I’m self-taught, I’m ready to become a student, what can you tell me?

There is practically no work for Juniors.
This is the harsh reality.
Self-taught people are also not needed by anyone, and no one wants to teach beginners.
The best option is not to hammer the bolt and try to push every day to the same GitHub in order to get a great streak and profit. One day this may count as work experience if there is at least something working on the topic in the repositories;)

In Yandex, Mail.ru, Badoo they take without experience. Checked)
Participate in hackathons, conferences and learn for yourself.
When your eyes light up, they find you.
Visit hh.ru/.
And remember:
the best programmers are self-taught!

I completely agree with iskros :) they don’t require anything special anywhere. In the field of IT, in general, attention is paid more to the desire and the possibility of quick learning than to diplomas from Harvard;) In particular, for example, I am always looking for young professionals, both for work and for education - many then stay, go further, having decided what they like best - so you are in vain .... there would be a desire;)

I agree with the above answers and will add. Many companies even agree to take a person who does not have the necessary skills for training, an internship, a junior vacancy, all this is due to a lack of specialists, and the fact that it is easier to train a person who is ready for this than to wait until he appears of all trades master, with two VOs, as you described. Careers in IT actually begin with these vacancies.

In addition to Yandex, mail.ru corp.mail.ru/career/young , Beeline, MTS, etc. also have internships.
In other words, almost any federal company has internships and you can be hired as an applicant for the IT department.
Just send them your resume or otherwise contact them.
Looking forward to hearing from you, @BigBrain .

And if a person lives in a small town and is looking for opportunities to work remotely?
Even with little experience and the ability to understand the issue, it is very difficult to find a suitable job. And specialized sites are of little help here, because for one junior vacancy there are 100,500 applicants who know something a little bit.
How to be here?

  • Study at one of the three universities in Moscow: Moscow State University, Moscow State Technical University or Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (one of the necessary requirements for trying to train at Mail.ru)
