Is it optimal to make a 2D game on Unreal Engine 4 and how much more resources will it consume than when using tools for 2D development?

For 2D, it is better and more convenient to use Unity, because UE is sharpened purely for 3D.

I would say that making a game on Unreal Engine 4, a level below Skyrim, for example, is not optimal at all.
