Is it normal to build a startup on collecting and parsing information from other sites (legally as possible)?
I want to create a startup (banal, sometimes funny, nothing, I know).
The meaning of the project is that it searches for information on the web and collects it in one place.
It's all about cooking. narrow specificity.
The question is: parsing is a bad idea. But without him, nothing. Links from primary sources will be in each article.
I will sometimes ask permission, but the fact of the matter is that there are no 3-4 leaders on the network to take information from them (cooperate), so most of the information will be from different sites (sources) and it will not be possible to ask for permission to publish ( with a link).
I want to hide the parsed articles themselves from indexing by search engines: this is dishonest, and it’s not “gentlemanly” to go out on someone else’s work.

As practice shows, you can go on someone else's content only at the first stage, until a critical mass of people is recruited, which begins to independently generate content. It is very difficult to gain critical mass without some great time or money efforts.
And yes, the place of content aggregators was taken by search engines, which cope with the search for the necessary information with a bang.
Therefore, my opinion is that you need to take care of how to create your content - if not from the very first day, then at least for the foreseeable future.
No one will ever give you money purely from a legal point of view, any donor site will sue you.
As a means of driving SEO traffic, this is a good option. But without real data and "premium" slag filters for real users, you won't last long. I work as an administrator in a similar business in the states. If you have specific questions - write in a personal, I will try to answer.
