Is it harmful or productive to live according to a schedule from a scientific point of view?

Hello!
Someone writes that it is harmful to live according to the schedule, they say the roof will go, you need to enjoy life, you go to bed when you want, eat as much as you want, work according to your mood.
Others write that no-no, you need to live according to the schedule, some especially stoned ones even recommend making plans in the evenings or in the mornings with an accuracy of 15 minutes. And you need to work during especially productive hours
1) How is it in practice for you?
2) What does science say about this?
