Is it fast to switch from DOS interrupts to BIOS interrupts?

I want to start learning asm here. All books are written for creating com programs with dos interrupts. does it make sense to read these books? Or just search with the BIOS

It makes sense to spend at least a couple of weeks and READ at least one of the books that you were advised.
