Is it difficult to make simple things for the game?

I made the game world according to the manuals in UE 4 from ready-made textures. Everything suits me.
Now I want to do a seemingly elementary thing, the ability to cut down a tree.
How difficult is it for complete zero in C# and other programming languages?
Prompt articles or lessons that can be viewed on this topic.
Thank you.

Start with a normal problem statement. You can cut down a tree in 1000 and 1 ways - and with different implementations.
But if you give an abstract answer - yes, it's difficult. Gamedev is generally not an area that you need to enter with a complete zero.
