Is it correct to use svg graphics code in site templates?

Is it possible to use the svg graphics code in the site template? Will it load the computer or can some other unpleasant consequences arise?
For example

Nothing will happen, you can just insert the img tag so as not to strain yourself. Unless, of course, you use it to animate or change colors with CSS.
