It is known that for the effect of three-dimensional projection, some kind of screen is used - a mirror, a fine mesh, steam or water. These screens are usually either visually visible or made against a dark background.
Of the well-known methods for creating volumetric projections ( geektimes.ru/post/158231 ), not one fits the one shown by Leonard - the series shows just the same exemplary hologram from fantasy films - quite clear, color, working without a screen.
I couldn't find clear information, what kind of technology was used to create the projection in this series? What are her limitations? Is it really possible for today's technologies to create such a high-quality hologram?
The series "The Big Bang Theory", as it seemed to me, was not previously seen in the display of non-existent technologies, and the more worried the question is how did the authors create a color volumetric projection in the air?
