Is it possible to program for iOS without buying a developer account?
The application must be used for personal purposes only and will not be made available in the AppStore.
I read that starting with iOS 8, it became possible to test the application for free, but the free account mode is temporary.

As I remember, you still need to register as a developer, but you don't have to pay for a license.
