Is information_schema always available?

I am writing a simple crud admin panel in php.
Form generation, as well as validation, is done based on the data received from information_schema. The question is, can it turn out that, for example, information_schema is not available on the hosting? So far, everywhere I've looked, it's there. I'm afraid, because it will make my admin panel non-working.
