Is gulp installed as a program or downloaded as a folder?

1) When we install gulp itself, we just download the add. folder in node js that node will be guided by when calling it?
2) After installing modules for one project, can you just copy and paste them into others?

1) yes. this is a set of js scripts that run in the node.js environment
2) yes, but why, when it's easier to copy package.json and run npm install?
