Is everyone okay with the JS timer in Chrome on the iPhone?

The site has a pop-up window that should open after 60 seconds. after visiting the page.
Naturally, just the usual setTimeout is made there which calls the desired window opening function.
However, the client complains that in iPhone 6 in chrome, the window pops up after 30-45 seconds. but not through 60.
No one came across?
