Is a career in IT possible with a criminal record?

Good afternoon, from your professional experience I want to know if it is possible to get a job in any IT company with an article affecting information security (for example, 272/273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)? Or do they shy away from guys with a similar past?

In a more or less large company with the Security Council - on the black list without talking. In the rest - until the moment it opens

In the former Soviet Union they shy away from everything. In the west, I think it will be easier.
If you really understand information security, you can follow in the footsteps of Mitnick - to found a company specializing in computer and network security.
Or, if you are denied a vacancy due to a criminal record - you just shake your head, while saying - "Well, well." Perhaps it will work.
In general, we had a president of the country 10 years ago, whose convictions were much more serious ...

Firstly, breaking through the bases is illegal.
Secondly, after the removal of a criminal record, you are an ordinary citizen.
Thirdly, in my memory, only one office had this column.
And most importantly, practice your communication skills. They will raise this topic, explain what happened, without pressure on pity, everyone will understand everything.

With an article like this, I wouldn't have hired.
Without giving reasons.

About 13 years ago, an FSB operative from Moscow was looking for me, but the first FSB operative from my Muhosransk bottled me up. In the base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, I passed as a malicious extremist - fingers, a photo before being imprisoned in a temporary detention facility, periodically dragged to the police department, RUBOP caught on the street and stuffed into the car and drove to him))
not a single Security Service has ever found out about this))

In large organizations, almost always, there is a security service.
In small offices, sometimes this is not the case.

Work where they don't ask about such things. The fact that large companies pay more than small ones is not always true. I'm not talking about the fact that in the field of IT you can work for yourself.
