iPhone 4 wifi issue

Good afternoon, Habrausers!
There is an iphone 4, which recently turned a year old, the device is an immigrant from Canada. At the end of its one-year warranty, wi-fi began to work poorly (very low signal reception, usually only a few meters from the access point, or no signal at all). Unfortunately, a banal reset of the network settings did not solve the problem ...
I did not find a solution to the problem on the Internet. At first I thought it was because of the jailbreak, but even without it the problem was not solved.
What could happen? Has anyone encountered this? Or except as a replacement, you can not solve it?
PS The device was not subjected to technical damage. I would gladly contact those. support, but unfortunately the warranty is over. And I'm not sure whether it's even possible to count on repairing a phone bought in another country.

Have you tried playing with the firmware? Update/rollback?
In general, take it to a regular service, like this one (link from Google), you can fix it not very expensive.

Most likely broken / oxidized contact with the wi-fi antenna. Take it to the service if you have not dealt with the disassembly of complex electronics. If you are not afraid, take it apart yourself, but here it is already at your own peril and risk.

If I'm not mistaken there, the WIFI antenna is tied together with others and is part of the metal perimeter of the case, in short, try wiping it with alcohol or something like that, along the perimeter all parts and especially the places where one ends and another antenna begins.
It’s just that if you have formed a permanent connection of two antennas, even if not visible to the eye, then the described symptoms may occur.

The easiest way is to contact the service with this question, apple4you.ru
