iPad 2 seems noticeably thinner and lighter than iPad 1 in hands. They say it's faster in speed, but this is only visible in games, and possibly in navigators. I see no reason to change now. With the release of the fifth firmware, the meaning may appear - it is more demanding on performance. However, it focuses on iCloud, and its meaningful use in our connection is a big question. In total, the iPad update has been delayed by a year.
Similarly - iPhone 4. The new 5 neverlock will appear by the New Year, the price will drop to an acceptable level by spring. During this time, it is quite possible to play enough with 4.
My IMHO - these are toys for adults, and they should be treated like expensive toys. That is, it's easier. The latest model today - in six months will become obsolete and inexpensive, with almost the same functions, but without the latest bells and whistles. You shouldn't dwell on something like that.
