iOS programming for the complete teapot. Where to begin?

I have an obsession with learning to code for iOS, just for fun.
The problem is that I'm a total noob at programming.
The maximum that is in the background is writing a command-line game of thimbles (with ASCII graphics) in C ++ under Windows, 6-7 years ago.
Interested in the development of application programs, not toys, and even more so not tride.
%username%, advise what literature / sites / lessons to start with?
As I understand it, to begin with, I will need basic Objective-C programming skills that can be extrapolated to iOS development.
I just tried to write Hello World for iOS using this tutorial and after a thoughtful copypaste I got 4 errors. Clearly, you need to start with something simpler.

I would suggest starting with this rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3286836
It's also on iTunes U (free). Stanford courses.

The best in my opinion:

iPhone Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide (Big Nerd Ranch Guides)
The book is written for beginners. Written very cool - like a set of lessons. It is impossible not to understand her. course in general.

I recommend Beginning iPhone 4 Development. Exploring the iOS SDK.Jan.2011 . I was able to write a couple of utilities using it, the information in the book is quite fresh. UI for iPad are being considered.

I support the first two answers.
And on my own I advise you to read the article "Books, videos and other materials on development for iOS" .
There you can see the comments and recommendations of a fairly large number of habrousers.

I started with "Developing iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch Apps Using the iOS SDK" by Dave Mark, Jack Nutting, Jeff LaMarche. First I looked through the scans, the quality of the material is excellent, especially if there are some difficulties with English. If you fork out for the printed version, you will not regret it, the book is very sensible for the first few projects.

Apple has very good documentation of its own. Their DevCenter has a Getting Started section, I started with it https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action

Something like this can be found on the Internet:
www.lynda.com/iOS-tutorials/iOS-App-Development-Es...
In general, the courses from Lynda are very thorough, I advise.
