Inaccurate question. It can be understood as
1) “is it possible for the application to find out what other applications are being opened / launched”
Answer: No, it’s not possible
But, it is possible on a rooted device
2) “Is there a way to collect statistics on the use (launch / opening) of the application being developed on iOS?”
The answer was given by hybridcattt
3) “Is there access to global application launch statistics” -
The answer is no
But there are indirect estimates
Google Analytics, Flurry, Yandex statistics, TestFlight… I don’t want to choose, there was a good article about it recently.
I myself want something like rescuetime.com for iOS. Here is the code for how processes are running see stackoverflow.com/questions/8275578/how-to-get-information-about-free-memory-and-running-processes-in-an-app-store-a?lq=1 and With the release of iOS7, apparently you can drive it in the background, you will have to try.
