As a dad, I will speak for myself - I have never bought applications (neither there nor there) for myself, but I’m already buying the fifth alphabet for my child, “it’s not a pity”. Only good ones for the little ones are not enough (So that the child can not press the ad / exit button for more than 10 seconds and it would be interesting for him). And small children do not know how to tap, they can slide (“dig” the screen), but there are no such games at all (

If we talk about children a little older, when they already know how to read, then I think from the age of 6-7 you can already try to learn English through LinguaLeo

I have a daughter 3.5 - we love to tap everything that taps on androids: mosaics, coloring letters, search for objects. Of our likes, why (non-off. title) from lexu.me from not our kids ABC. The rest is even more depressing. In general, there is demand, but there is nothing to pay for

Since the year, the tablet has been a favorite toy. I buy that is used a lot. Mosaics, puzzles, cartoon books. There are not so many good quality programs. So everything related to it is popular. All familiar children from 5 years old and older everywhere with pills are dragged around mainly with toys - a very convenient solution when they need to be occupied with something while their parents are in business.
And you need to start learning the language before the age of 5 and bring it to a good level before this age - this is not a luxury, but the duty of parents today - all the tools for this are available.

In 2012, the fastest growing app segment in the Apple AppStore was kids education/entertainment, specifically aimed at toddlers (children who have started walking) and pre-schoolers (kindergarten).
