Interface design. Is it true that this is the future?
I want to change my profession. I'm looking at the UI. But the question was how much more promising this area will be in the future?
Quite a lot of familiar programmers say that now is the era of automation, a few years are enough to set out the basic concepts and principles, and then simply automate them, as happens with web design.

In vogue UX/UI. It's true. Now there is a boom in such vacancies. Look at the same xx, there are more and more of them. Previously, this direction was part of the duties of an ordinary project manager in a web studio or software development. Now companies (large) want to separate sales / communication with customers / interface development. etc. I doubt that in two years they will become obsolete. Because the client always wants his project to be approached individually, thinking only about his clients, and not giving ready-made prototypes (well, an adequate client, again). If you are currently doing something similar to website / web application design, of course you can safely move into this area. Materials in bulk, give preference to English-speaking. It will not work here to develop only in the high direction of UI or UX. Here generalists-fighters are needed.

your programmer friends apparently do not quite understand what they are talking about.
don't tell my slippers, your friends tell you artificial intelligence, let them first try to make it at the level of a child, and then they say such nonsense.
