IntelliSense for C projects in VS2010?

Recently I needed to write a small console application in C.
I was completely struck by the complete lack of IntelliSense, i. generally complete.
No hints with function arguments, no hints with structure members, nothing.
Is this how it should be?
IntelliSense is enabled in settings.
Update: Since it shouldn't be like this, tell me, what could be the problem?

The problem is that, most likely, the NCB file is damaged. Delete and try again. In general, Visual Assist X is recommended for long-term use, since IntelliSense for C ++ works there. Unfortunately, this misfortune is also trying to cling to C # projects, which entails an inconvenient series of switching on and off.
