Installing Asterisk+FreePBX, hands on hooks?
And so, I decided to raise my first PBX to Asterisk! I did not use any distros there .... all with pens. I started smoking the manual:
asterisk-pbx.ru/wiki/asterisk_install/asterisk-13_...
I downloaded this ubuntu 16.04 and started installing it, since the manual for 14 bubunta ran into a rake but defeated them (even the asterisk was launched into the console and the trees are working !!), up to installing FreePBX. Here, at the very first step, a jamb fell out:
./install_amp
.......
Checking for /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf..OK
Reading /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf..OK
Using asterisk as PBX Engine
Checking for Asterisk version..13.9.1
Checking for selinux..OK
Connecting to database..FAILED

By experience, I got a lot of bumps with this FreePBX. Install a clean Asterisk. I assure you, you will love it. And preferably on CentOS.
I agree. Pure Asterisk is better.
The only negative is that it will be difficult to communicate with colleagues. In the spirit, "how does it work for you without freepbx?"
And on the problem, it seems that you do not have the package "php-mysql"
FreePBX uses the libmyodbc driver to communicate with MySQL, which was removed from the repository in Ubuntu 16.04, and therefore does not work.
