Instagram API how to get more images?

The essence of the problem is as follows:
There is a customer page on Instagram, at first they displayed the latest posts on the page. Now, on certain pages, they wanted to filter them by a hash tag, but the problem is that I didn’t twist the API and pagination, and whatever, but I didn’t manage to get more than the first 20 records, when I request the next ones, it just returns emptiness. .. max_id (min_id) - max_tag_id (min_tag_id) also return null.
Maybe someone has already solved this problem?

somewhere there was an option to get a full size img from instagram, if it suits I can search
