Is infinite scrolling SEO bad or not?
Is it better to change url by adding /page/N when scrolling or doesn't matter?
It's not about a specific platform and not about plugins - I have a self-written engine.

There is no difference, you have endless scrolling, for example, in a blog, and each article has its own url.
Another thing is, if you are on the page of the article, and scroll, a new article appears there and the url does not change, then this is bad

It’s better to always change the URL by adding the path, since it’s not only about SEO, for example, I want to send a link to a page with products to my friend, let it be page 10, then how will I send it if my URL does not change.
In such cases, you can do it simply: go to all the top sites, for example, those selling equipment or other goods, see how and with whom this scroll is implemented. After that, there will be an understanding of what techniques are and how it would be best to do in your case.
