Sometimes I came across such pages, but today I noticed on Habré and decided to ask a question.
What is it? What is the problem?

I launch the browser - RAM consumption is 800mb (total, together with the system) I
open a single tab with the specified address and see the gradual filling of RAM to max. 3gb.

Well, there are a lot of elements and pictures there, all this goes into the RAM.

most likely it's not only the media content of this page, I normally chew this volume g, although it slows down.
besides this, the browser usually has a bunch of add-ons that check the content of the page and or perform any additional work.
