Inet page vyzhiraet all memory + swap?
https://habr.com/article/430050/
eats all the RAM, and when SWAP ends, the system hangs accordingly.
Sometimes I came across such pages, but today I noticed on Habré and decided to ask a question.
What is it? What is the problem?
PS
I launch the browser - RAM consumption is 800mb (total, together with the system) I
open a single tab with the specified address and see the gradual filling of RAM to max. 3gb.
then it starts to swap (I have 4GB of swap).
and you mean it's one page?
the problem is not only with me, I
asked a question on soap https://otvet.mail.ru/question/211581098
PS the
question can be closed.
Vladimir Proskurin advised to look at the code of the page elements.
loaded the page via wget and looked - and there .... only 130 iframe id="youtubeiframe***
not counting pictures, etc.
what kind of idiots typeset/create such pages???

Well, there are a lot of elements and pictures there, all this goes into the RAM.
most likely it's not only the media content of this page, I normally chew this volume g, although it slows down.
besides this, the browser usually has a bunch of add-ons that check the content of the page and or perform any additional work.
additions are written in scripting languages, which also leads to memory consumption.
in the amount it turns out w * pa.
