In Windows, some folders are not visible on a smartphone connected via USB, how can I show them?
With a new smartphone with Android 7.0 OS, oddities immediately began. At first it was not detected in Win8.1, but this was overcome (for those suffering from the same - here is the algorithm: Device Manager - Unknown device (or the name of the smartphone in "Portable devices") - Update driver - Search for a driver on this computer - Select driver from the list of already installed ones - checkbox "Only compatible devices" - select the lowest one, "MTP USB device").
But then, when I installed the AlReader reader, which by default takes books from the android Books folder, it turned out that this folder is hidden in Windows, and I can’t put books there! At the same time, the android File Manager sees this folder, like all the others. But it doesn't see Windows, so I can't download files from it either. Exactly the same story with the "AlReader" folder.
I tried to create a folder called Books from Windows - it does not create, brute, the folder does not want to be renamed Books and remains with the name "Create Folder". This confirms that it is still there, but hidden. How to open it? And all the others who create applications that I will install in the future. I could not find in Windows the settings and tools necessary for this. The general setting for showing all hidden files and folders in my Windows has been installed for a long time, but for some reason it does not apply to the smartphone folder "Internal Shared Drive".
UPD: The question is removed - after rebooting the smartphone, the folder became available.
