In which direction to dig in the issue of creating electronic gloves?
Education project. Glove device. Their target task is to transmit to the computer information about which finger the user pressed the keyboard key with. Of the additional features - this is an autonomous operation of gloves and communication with a PC via Bluetooth via an add-on. device like wireless mice (or other wireless method).
It is not necessary to implement the device, but it is desirable to draw up a diagram of it, explain the principle of operation, etc. So, in which direction to dig? What materials to see? Do you have any ideas for implementation?
So far, the team was thinking only about the process of pressing. We came to make it processed in the form of plates at the tip of each finger, which, under pressure, close the contact and a signal goes to the circuit, and when there is no pressure, the small plates unbend the large one and the signal no longer goes on. True, we do not have engineering skills, so we do not know whether this is feasible in practice.

Yes, what kind of accelerometers, lol, the usual piezoelectric element is enough. A surge of voltage indicates pressure.
piezoelectric sensors and flexible linear variable resistors, those that change resistance with the bending angle. By stretching along the phalanges, you can track the movements of the fingers, and then, on the statistics, train them to recognize the touch gesture
Among other options for pressure sensors (I like piezo), it is possible to simply apply voltage to the keyboard. Then touching (pressing buttons) will close the chain of the finger, and the gloves themselves can simply be painted with a special pattern.
