In what programs would it be more comfortable to make cartoons?

Hello, I had an idea to create my own small cartoon, but I don’t know which program to start with.
Now I'm trying in Adobe Flash CC, the program seems to be good, but there is no sensible training in it. I start drawing the characters, they blend into the background. I am definitely doing something wrong, is there a book on this program, or a good video course,? If not... Then recommend a program that has enough tutorials and is comfortable with the process of creating animation, as well as drawing characters and objects.
My operating system is OSX so the programs are only for that system. And the graphics of cartoons are 2D, such programs, if anyone knows.
Concerning Adobe Flash CC, I read the official manual to half, and realized that this book is web-oriented. Once again, if anyone knows good books on animation in this program, throw at least one.

Convenient and fast, there are import rigs from 3d to 2d. Easy to animate.
