In what direction to move to start working with databases?
What are the options besides node.js for js to work with the database? And does it make sense to use it?
I just don't like php, and I don't know any other options yet.

This is what? Nodu - someone has it, someone doesn't, whether you have it - how do you know.
If you are worried that the node is "not the same anymore" - do not worry, every year it is more and more the same.
I don't like PHP and "heard something wrong" about the node - there are 100500 other languages in which you can work with the database.
