In what base to store gigabytes of the text?

Don't ask why. At first, of course, I started with sqlite. At first everything was fine, then when the file began to weigh 200 mb - one SELECT query was executed for several seconds. When it became 900 mb, it took even longer, and then it completely hung up and hung up only after deleting the data.
If I switch to mysql will it be able to process GIGABYTES of text and fetch fast? Or will it freeze too?

Will be able. And it can't do that. Beforehand, the main thing is to configure it correctly, then send normal requests.
